* Guggenheim Foundation Names Four Professors As Fellowship Recipients:
- Four Penn professors were named yesterday among 154 American and Canadian scholars, artists, composers and writers, as winners of the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Fellowships. The recipients are Dr. Conyers Read, professor of English history; Dr. Arthur C. Bining, associate professor of history; Dr. Richard M. Martin, assistant professor of philosophy; and Dr. Andre Benjamin Delattre, associate professor of French. Dr. Delattre is receiving the award this year for the second time. The prize was awarded on the basis of his research on the correspondence of Voltaire and the Brothers Tronchin. He has been a member of the Romance Languages department since 1946....
